Photographer Gordon Becker
Introducing photographer Gordon Becker as he comes on board as a contributor. Currently in his final year studying photography at TAFE in Perth, Gordon takes every available minute to head south and chase waves. Clearly the ocean is a massive influence and inspiration for him. Here’s a selection of some of his excellent work. Check out his ‘about’ page for more profile. Thanks mate for joining the team.
This shot of Gracetown local Kim Feast was taken on a fairly solid day out at North Point, the frequent wash throughs kept you on your toes.
This image was shot down at Margaret Rivermouth earlier this year when large cyclone swells belted the coast. This man walked into my shot and stood there staring out to sea.
This particular image of a Little Red Riding Hood was taken for a client down in the forest of Boranup just after sunset. Was an enjoyable shoot!
Trying to swim as deep as possible and capture that angle of a wave breaking overhead. Almost looks like storm clouds.
Capturing the Vortex effect that occurs after a wave has broken. I tend to spend hours sometimes trying to nail this shot.
Shooting the oceans raw power unleash on a remote piece of reef with a couple of mates. Epic.
So many amazing wedding venues in the South West. This is a shot from a wedding at Wills Domain in Yallingup.
